Providing high quality education to 26 impoverished children from the slum community was the purpose of an ERSF grant to Kids in Need of Education (KINOE).

The money helped fund the Karve Nagar supplementary education centre in Pune.

“KINOE strongly believes that money spent on education is more effective at lifting people out of poverty than any other form of aid,” said the charity’s Administrator Caroline Emlyn Jones. “Since KINOE was set up over 13 years ago, we have helped over 6,000 underprivileged children to benefit from a good education. The impact on their lives, and the lives of people in their communities, has been dramatic.”
