Sudan Support Fund

A £2,700 ERSF grant has been spent on equipment for a primary and nursery school in Nzara, South Sudan.

The money, given to Sudan Support Fund, was used for the construction of a perimeter security fence around the school as well as buying four blackboards, chairs and tables for staff plus 50 benches for pupils and a water tank.

“We funded the building of two classrooms at St Timothy’s School in 2011 and two more classrooms have now been constructed in July this year due to a grant from The Barnabas Fund,” said Chair of the Fund Claudia Calam. “The vital equipment provided by the ERSF grant will greatly enhance the effectiveness of teaching for teachers and pupils.”
