Victory Rural Development Society 2008

Vocational training for drop-out girls from socially disadvantaged poor communities was carried out with the help of an ERSF grant to Victory Rural Development Society.

The £9,725 was used to buy sewing machines, hand embroidery frames, raw materials for training, tools and kits plus salaries and expenses.

“This training is now providing good opportunities for sustainable employment and self development of these girls among the disadvantaged poor communities,” said a VRDS spokesman.

“So far, 120 poor girls from five of the most backward villages have benefited from this project which has only been made possible through the generous grant support of ERSF.”
