Gramodaya Rural Development Society

An education for children of HIV/AIDS and leprosy sufferers received a £4,500 cash injection with an ERSF grant to Gramodaya Rural Development Society.

The money was spent on teaching materials, salaries, furniture, nutritional refreshments and medication. “Due to leprosy these children’s parents are unable to work because of their crippled hands and foot ulcers,” said a spokesman for GRDS.

“This situation has created poverty and severely affected the children’s education, but through the timely support of the ERSF grant this has initiated and supported ten education centres, serving 250 poor children.”
