PSYS skills education

Some £5,800 from ERSF to Praja Seva Yuvajana Sangam (PSYS) has been used to teach embroidery skills to the poor women and girls of a tribal community.

The money helped purchase sewing and embroidery machines, raw materials for training, furniture, books and pay for electricity charges and an instructor.

PSYS Director Mr Shanmugam said: “The ERSF grant for this skill education project for income generation activities heled the most disadvantaged persons in the tribal community.

“After implementation of this particular skill training to girls and women the income level of these poor families has increased. Now they are able to meet their daily needs for their food, childcare and health.”
