Tased Trust

The Tased Trust’s ‘Skill Training to Rural Youth and Pre-School’ project has received valuable funding from ERSF. As the name suggests, the project has two components – one is the pre-school for disadvantaged slum children; the other is skills training to rural youth.

Tased provided an abundance of new opportunities for the failed, drop-out students of poor families to enhance their chances of finding work – in fact, out of 52 students, 51 successfully completed their studies (Diploma in Lab Technician; Tailoring and Fashion Design; Four wheeler/automobile mechanics).

Studies of pre-school children suggest that disadvantaged children who attend a good early childhood development programme are better prepared for school, both intellectually and socially, than children who did not.
